Thirty candidate passages become ten selected passages, then a sourced coaching response.

TypeSafe Jev at Close-Rate: results from 300 calls

On 300 calls, Jev retained more source evidence than the GPT-5.4-mini benchmark baseline. Results on retrieval, claim checking and scorecards, plus our production integration.

One week of calls: 150 happened, 50 could be reviewed, 3 were.

The call review nobody actually does

Every sales org says it reviews calls. Almost none do, and the reason is arithmetic rather than discipline. What that costs, and what to do when listening to more of them is not an option.

A quote that matches the transcript is printed as a quote. One that does not is downgraded to a paraphrase. Printing it anyway is not a path that exists.

How we verify every quote in a coaching report

An AI coaching tool that invents a quote is worse than no tool at all. Here is the verification pipeline every Close-Rate report runs through, and what happens when a claim fails it.

Customer names you can trust

Customer names on imported calls are checked against what was actually said on the recording. If we cannot find the name, the field is left for you to fill rather than guessed at. Calls sitting on Pending for more than 72 hours stop waiting and move to your worklist.

Real names on Zoom calls

Zoom recordings now use Zoom’s own transcript and participant list, so people appear by name instead of Speaker 1 and Speaker 2. Rep and customer are identified from the roster rather than inferred.

Aug 31

A new transcription engine

AssemblyAI is now the default transcription provider, with cleaner speaker separation on phone audio. Long recordings are split by audio length as well as file size, so nothing gets truncated mid-call.

Aug 30

A Needs Outcome worklist

Every call still waiting on an outcome now has one place to live. The counts on the tiles and the rows in the table always agree, so the number you act on is the number you see.

Aug 30

Your company context reaches the model

What you tell Close-Rate about your company, your value proposition and your methodology now informs every report and every answer. It is asked for at the point where its absence is felt, instead of sitting in a settings page nobody opens.

Aug 27

Company Scorecard

A company-level view of the five coaching scores across your whole team, where each row drills into that rep’s own scorecard. Exports as a PDF you can take into a leadership meeting.

Aug 25

Zoom connections that stay connected

Auto-import keeps its Zoom authorization alive on its own. If a connection ever does need your attention, the dashboard says so instead of importing nothing in silence.

Aug 21

Reports that always open

A report you can see in the list is a report you can open. A single malformed section no longer takes the rest of the report with it, and finished reports show the time they actually finished.

Aug 17

Zoom auto-import

Point Close-Rate at your Zoom account and new recordings import themselves every four hours, filtered by the rules you set. The integration card shows the next run and gives you an Import now button when you do not want to wait.

Aug 5

Claude Opus 5 for reports and chat

Coaching reports, AI Insights and per-call briefs all moved to Claude Opus 5. Briefs now come in three lengths with key out-takes, so you can skim a call or read it properly without opening the transcript.

Aug 5

3 Steps to Value

A short onboarding checklist replaces the countdown clock. Connect a source, import a call, read your first coaching report. No timer running in the background while you are still setting up.

Aug 1

Billing, seats and usage

Self-serve checkout, per-seat licensing that stays in step with your team as people join and leave, and a usage page showing daily activity. AI credits scale with your seat count, and you can see what you have used at any time.

Emails that look like Close-Rate

Sign-in links, invitations and scheduled report emails all match the product instead of arriving as plain unbranded mail.

Jul 14

View as your team

Coaches and admins can open Close-Rate as any of their reps or coaches see it. It helps with onboarding, answering a rep's question, or checking exactly what someone sees. No password sharing required.

Jul 12

Reps get their own workspace

Reps have a dedicated Manage Data view for their own calls. Their AI Insights and reports show only the conversations they own.

Jul 11

Security and privacy hardening

Tighter per-customer data isolation, per-user rate limits, and automatic data deletion when you disconnect an integration.

Jul 8

Rep Profiles and identity

Every rep now has a profile with coaching scores, trends over time, and history. You can link duplicate name variants so one rep stays one profile, instead of splitting the same person's numbers across two names.

Jul 2

Download any transcript

Export a call transcript as a speaker-labeled .txt or PDF in one click, ready to share or add to a QBR.

Jun 30

Smoother bulk imports

Import many calls at once with clear queued and in-progress status, and no slowdown when several people import at the same time.

Jun 29

Faster AI Insights

We rebuilt the search layer so AI Insights answers quickly and stays responsive when the whole team is importing and querying at once.

Jun 11

Straight to your team on sign-in

If you belong to a single organization, Close-Rate now takes you straight in instead of asking which workspace you meant.

May 2026

May 6

Scheduled coaching reports

Pick a cadence and Close-Rate emails coaching reports automatically. You can also send one on demand and browse past reports anytime.

May 6

Smarter transcription

Close-Rate skips near-silent recordings automatically, so you only spend on analyzing real conversations.

May 3

Self-serve onboarding

Create your workspace and invite your team in minutes, with branded sign-in and invitations.

May 3

Live Zoom import

Each Zoom recording imports and transcribes as it finishes, so results appear one at a time instead of after the whole batch.

Import a month of real calls and read what comes back.
